Our client, a leading public research university, is looking to recruit a temporary Assessment Manager to oversee the delivery of all assessments and examinations in the department. This post is to start in the middle of July and to run for 6 months, on a hybrid working basis.

The purpose of the role is to manage the Assessment Unit ensuring the smooth running of all examinations, anticipating and resolving associated risks and developing standard operating procedures. You will manage the procurement of all temporary staff needed throughout the exam period and will be responsible for managing several permanent members of the team. Liaising with other senior academic staff, you will initiate process improvements and ensure the improvement of the student experience with regard to assessments.

In order to be considered for this post, you will have experience in a similar position within Higher Education, with experience line managing other staff. You will have worked with SITS and be a confident IT user. Crucially, you will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload, both for yourself and the team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
