Test Systems Engineer
(Instrumentation Calibration Specialist)

Initial 3-month contract
Monday - Thursday (8am -4.30pm), Friday (8am - 3.30pm)
Based in Coventry
Our client is a large, well-respected business focused on design and manufacturer of complex products in the aviation sector.
Identify and document the instrumentation and calibration requirements for all transitioning rigs
Organise procurement of any additional tools, parts and equipment required to complete the instrumentation and calibration work
Generate instrumentation documentation, including interface control documents, that captures rig configurations for the purpose of Engineer awareness, maintenance and repair
Take a lead role in designing, specifying, obtaining and installing control room hardware (in collaboration with software provider)
Complete any in-house calibrations required for the transitioning rigs and generate formal calibration certificates
Liaise with the Quality dept to complete calibrations that are done by a third party
If required, perform instrumentation and calibration tasks to support business as usual test work on completed rigs
Work closely with HSE and Test Engineers to ensure that instrumentation is compliant with health and safety standards
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications required
Experience with the use of LabVIEW programming
Experience with instrumentation and calibration Experience with the use of LabVIEW programming
Strong hands-on and theoretical knowledge
Electrical experience on 24v DC circuits
Experience with High Pass / Low Pass filters
