RSW is recruiting on behalf of one of our clients based in Cardiff. A unique opportunity has arisen within a new rental division of an established manufacturer. Due to the new side of the business exceeding expectations an opening for a diesel fitter/engineer has become available in the South Wales area.
The Role:
* Comply with health safety and environmental legislative requirements
* Ensure risk assessments & method statements have been utilised
* Plan and coordinate the work in an efficient manner
* Liaise with customers
* Undertake repairs for the diesel driven pump fleet
* Fault finding throughout the mechanical/electrical process
* Assist with keeping our new fleet in a world class condition
* Prioritise and efficiently manage all mechanical engineering works to ensure that the customer has best
* service and reliability, with minimum down time.
* Provide assistance with spares ordering.
* Provide technical support to the customer and other engineers with the company
* Be part of a callout rota.
* Check drawings, designs, materials and equipment for conformity with project specifications
* Manage the maintenance planning and daily project inquiries
Pay and Hours:
* £30,000 to £33,000 depending on experience
* Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm (1 hour for lunch)
The Candidate:
* A qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
* Experience with large diesel engines, preferred OEM trained.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to manage personnel on site
* Beneficial to have strong planning skills
* The ability to work unaided and as part of an engineering team
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to stay on task
* Full driving licence
