Data Centre Engineer / UPS Engineer / Onsite UPS Engineer required to join a global manufacturer of uninterruptible power supply systems and services.

The Successful Data Centre Engineer / UPS Engineer / Onsite UPS Engineer shall carry out commissioning and installation on uninterruptible power supplies / UPS Systems onsite across data centres in the South of the UK.

The Data Centre Engineer / UPS Engineer / Onsite UPS Engineer will ideally have a solid understanding and experience of UPS systems, uninterruptible power supplies, critical power equipment, MV, LV, HV Switchgear or similar electrical engineering equipment. Full product training provided..

The Data Centre Engineer / UPS Engineer / Onsite UPS Engineer Role
To lead and manage all onsite UPS System work.
Carry out commissioning and installation on uninterruptible power supplies / UPS Systems onsite.
Managing a UPS preventative maintenance schedule, liaising with the onsite facilities management team to plan and coordinate preventative maintenance work.
Being the main point of contact regarding breakdowns taking ownership until completion.
Work with Project Managers on any new UPS project involving commissioning/installation.
Support other Field Service works as required (Commissioning/Preventative Maintenance)
Taking responsibility of all administration tasks including, preparing RAMS, arranging switching schedules, completing Engineer Field activity Reports (EFAR)
liaise with various engineering departments.

The Data Centre Engineer / UPS Engineer / Onsite UPS Engineer Requirements
Experience with onsite UPS projects.
Experience with commissioning/installations on UPS Systems.
Solid understanding and experience of uninterruptible power supplies/ Power electronics/ Electrical Installation/ UPS systems/ critical power equipment.
Managing and coordinating onsite spares kits and arranging replenishments with the supply chain team.
Full driving license- willing to travel between customer locations when required.
Minimum of 1 weekend worked per calendar month.
HNC or above in Electrical or Electronic Engineering would be advantageous
