Be amazing, be inspired, be you.

Our young people deserve the best possible future and we feel the same about our staff. You deserve to have the career you want, in an environment that allows you to be yourself. As a member of our team, you'll receive a sector-leading salary, extensive benefits, training, and a clear career pathway ahead of you.

If you want to join the UK's leading provider of specialist education and care, working passionately to bring the best possible outcomes for young people, you're in the right place.

Be the speech and language therapist, be the guide.

Our Clinical Team supports children and young people across our school and home environments. As a member of the team, you'll play a vital part in our work and our outcomes for young people. It's a highly rewarding role where your skills can make a huge difference - as you help us create the type of futures that every child deserves.

The contentment young people feel when you help them to work through their development traumas, neurodevelopment lifelong conditions and other complex needs and really start to communicate... There really is nothing like it. Our children are not always able to express it plainly, but you're an expert - you know it's there. And, anyway, gratitude isn't the reason you got into Speech & Language Therapy. To you, one single communication breakthrough is worth a thousand thank you's.

It's exactly that kind of selfless, professionalism attitude that makes us so excited to talk to you, here at Witherslack Group, as we grow our therapeutic team.

The Role

As you well know, this is a profession that's all about the long-term. You know what it's like when young people are passed from pillar to post - you just don't see the same kind of successes that you see when they're given access to strategic, consistent and joined-up therapy. Which is exactly why we've built our whole approach around the latter and have a multidisciplinary team who'll work alongside you, including Psychologists, Therapists and Occupational Therapists.

It's not just the fact that you'll have access to nearly 100 different professionals offering you peer support, development and shared best practice, plus a Clinical Director providing clinical governance. It's also that we're a nationwide network of sector-leading schools and children's homes who create the best outcomes for our children enabling us to develop a holistic, unique approach to each child's development.

Be the speech and language therapist you always wanted to be

Be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to the integrated development of each and every young person that lives and learns with us
Apply that critical and essential combination of theoretical knowledge and depth of experience to deliver life-changing communication strategies, that will remove any barriers for our young people
Have the additional privilege of leading, motivating and managing a team of Speech & Language Therapists every bit as dedicated as you are
Promote and enable Reflective Practice in your informal working relationships as well as when you chair and facilitate meetings
Take an active part in the recruitment of new Speech & Language Therapists to your team as well as identifying training and development needs for those within itWorking with Us

The Senior Speech & Language Therapists with us bring far more than just the essentials. Sure, registration with HCPC, lengthy sector experience and a background in team supervision are all vital (as is being a car driver, as there's some travel involved). The difference with Witherslack Group teams, though, is that you can sense the commitment - that far-sighted view of potential outcomes that drives us toward achieving them. We need that. It's what makes us who we are as an organisation.

A member of the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists, you will be comfortable delivering training to parents and other professionals and will have supervision qualifications. Experience of working with those with autism, mental health issues and social and emotional difficulties will stand you in good stead for a role filled with possibility - not just for our young people, but for you too, as you develop your career.

Be Rewarded

We know you're going to do great things. For your hard work and commitment, we want to reward you with a salary and benefits package that's among the best in our sector. Witherslack Group conducts DBS Enhanced checks and covers the costs for all new employees.
