Salary of £35,000 to £40,000 pa, depending on skills and experience, plus Brilliant Benefits!

Brilliant outcomes through integrated health, housing and care. That's when it hits home.

We have a brilliant job opportunity for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our brand-new service in North Walsham and Taverham, where we provide support to adults with learning disability and autism.

We are looking for someone who'll use their brilliant clinical skills and experience of autism and learning disabilities to transition customers into their own new home within the community. Working alongside our Learning Disability Nurse Manager, Team Leaders and Support workers you'll be supporting our wonderful customers to live happy and fulfilling lives.

You'll lead practice development, providing ongoing coaching, mentoring and training to our Team Leaders and Support Workers to ensure that high quality individualised care is delivered which maximises customers' ability to live independently and feel enabled.

You'll work within a PBS framework and lead on delivering plans and interventions, working collaboratively with our customers, their families, clinical and operational colleagues. You'll use your experience and brilliant skills to ensure all practice is evidence based and person led. You'll provide advice and coaching to your colleagues on the day-to-day support required, ensuring safety, promoting recovery, wellbeing and maximising independence.

Our customers have varying levels of need with a huge amount of potential to develop their skills to be as enabled and independent as possible through a mutually respectful relationship.

Hannah an Occupational Therapist here at Home Group says: "I've worked for Home Group for over two years now. Coming into Home Group was a big change from your more traditional Occupational Therapy role, but making the decision was 100% worth it. It is a real privilege to work for an organisation so committed to improving the lives of customers by taking the unique position of integrating housing, health and social care. Working for Home Group allows me to innovate and be creative in my role as an Occupational Therapist where no idea is too big! It's an extremely refreshing position to be in. I've been able to develop my skills, knowledge and experience in ways that I wouldn't have been able to prior to making the change into housing with support of the brilliant Occupational Therapy team, wider MDT and operational colleagues."

Doing this Job

You've got clinical skills and experience of autism and learning disabilities supporting skill development within a Positive behavioural support framework. You'll hold relevant professional qualifications including HCPC Occupational Therapist.

You'll really impress us with your ability to understand where our customers are in their lives, using evidence-based practice, care delivery and current occupational therapy-based interventions. You'll also have the ability to unleash the potential of colleagues through offering clinical advice, coaching, mentoring and training, and be experienced in guiding colleagues in their reflective practice.

Here at Home Group we have invested heavily in our future and use current and up to date equipment and have a digital first agenda. You'll be issued with the latest kit, which could include a Surface Pro and mobile. So, it's important to us that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)

We'll also support you with your own continual professional development as well maintaining your professional registration through regular clinical supervision and reflective practice.

Where and when you'll work

You'll work with our customers as they transition and move into their own homes in North Norfolk, as well as supporting them once they are settled in the community. There will be a focus on setting up new services and ensuring that brilliant care and support is provided in the long-term.

It's our unwritten rule that you attend the important appointments in life, be it your child's school play, your partner's graduation, or to get your new fridge delivered. You can elect to fit these around your working day or use your flexi to take the time off.

As our service is 24/7 you really can fit your hours in to suit both yourself and the service. Our focus is on getting the job done, not your working hours

Through our brilliant learning pathways, we'll support you with your own continual professional development (will pay for any relevant professional membership fees too) as well, maintaining your professional registration through regular clinical supervision and reflective practice.
