Duration: Permanent
Hours: 8am until 4:30pm (Monday to Friday)
Salary: Up to £34,000

Polytec are looking for an Electrical Technician for our Royston based client.
Responsibilities:
* Hands on assemble, wire and test of products following defined processes accurately
* Work with the Production Engineering team to continuously identify design, process and efficiency improvements
* Ensure that all documentation is correctly recorded and kept up to date
* Ensure work is completed to required timescales, output, and quality targets
* Implementation and maintenance of lean manufacturing philosophies
* Supervise contract / agency staff as required
* Advise on the best approach to the electrical implementation of a design
Requirements:
* Electrical Engineering qualification
* Experience in a technical manufacturing, production, or assembly environment
* Knowledge in electrical assembly techniques
* An understanding of electrical testing and fault-finding
* Working knowledge of electrical engineering principle
* Able to read and understand electrical drawings
* Able to exhibit electrical build skills across a range of activities (panel build, cable assembly)
* Ability to electrically test and problem-solve
* Able to skilfully use a wide range of electrical engineering hand tools
* Able to follow a defined process without deviation
