Purpose of the role

Associate Directors assume full responsibility for the project research requirements of nominated clients and potential new clients They ensure that the full range of HRW services are understood, agree quotations, close contracts and manage research projects to such a high quality that ensure repeat business is generated. Associate Directors step in when Research Directors are not around taking a leadership role both with client accounts and the wider team.

Although this role will include working on a wide variety of projects and client accounts, we are looking for a candidate with strong quantitative experience to support our advanced capabilities at HRW. This will be someone who has experience in methodologies such as demand studies, segmentations, conjoint, or brand mapping, and who would enjoy working with our data science team to make data come to life for clients.

What you will be doing?
  • Leading on advanced quantitative studies (e.g. conjoint/ segmentation/ demand studies) and contributing to increasing our quantitative excellence at HRW, through training the junior team and working with our directors to create new ideas and methodologies for quantitative research
  • Maintain and increase business with specific clients by providing excellent research, client service and client support
  • Develop new clients
  • Work with fellow ADs to create effective client development strategies.
  • Maximise the number of appropriate briefs obtained from clients
  • Submit proposals in response to client briefs, which have maximum potential to win business
  • Act as line manager for members of the research team
  • Assume a training role for other members of the company teams and otherwise impart knowledge, which will help colleagues to work more efficiently and effectively.
  • Plan individual projects from start to finish and obtain appropriate resources to conduct the research.
  • Ensure that objectives are clearly understood and techniques properly costed, and establish appropriate protocols for qualitative and quantitative products
  • Supervise individuals within his/her various project teams and have regard for team welfare
  • Ensure that the project is conducted to the highest possible standards of quality and timeliness, commensurate with clients' needs and budget
  • Ensure that the project debrief is excellent in every respect
  • Take overall responsibility for financial aspects of projects, ensuring actual costs against budgeted and timely invoicing and payment

It's highly likely you'll come from a background of insight driven research within the healthcare sector. We prefer candidates with mixed methodologies, but if you are Quant weighted we would really be keen to hear from you.
