About the Opportunity

We are looking for an awesome Business Analyst to join our team who can fit effectively into our dynamic, successful, and revolutionary business.

The focus of this role is to:
  • understand and articulate the Business Requirements for critical Fin Crime systems and broader control framework
  • frame the business problem and elicit the backlog for internal IT teams to deliver new functionality and products in an Agile environment, using Agile Techniques
  • analysis and problem solving, including working closely to define user journeys, helping to establish a product vision and ability to apply different approaches to backlog creation
  • experience writing user stories, vertical slicing and above all, lean thinking.
  • contribute financial crime and payments expertise to help shape a next generation financial crime control framework, reducing waste and improving risk coverage
  • Work with the Data team to ensure requirements are clearly understood and defined accurately to ensure timely development
  • work closely with key stakeholders across Fin Crime (& wider Operations teams) to enhance ensure solutions consider and address the Fin Crime requirements and are appropriately implemented

This role would ideally suit a driven agilest who's spent a few years honing their process re-engineering and implementing measurable change in a regulated industry.

The successful candidate will report directly into the Programme Director so in addition to the above, we are looking for a motivated team player who is delivery focused and is laser-focused on solutions for how things can be done better.

You will be joining ClearBank and an exciting and transformative time. We are redesigning our end-to-end financial crime control framework, and broader operations. We're building the next generation of financial crime controls; with the senior business analyst role critical in shaping and delivering that vision.

Core Skills and Experience:
  • Experience working with Agile techniques and good understanding of the Business Analyst's role and responsibilities within the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience in Fin Crime environment, preferably including transaction monitoring and/or payments screening with a good understanding of payments schemes more broadly
  • Correspondent and agency banking experience is desirable
  • A self-starter. Comfortable leading initiatives, owning stakeholder relationships and working with cross disciplinary teams (e.g., product, data, tech, financial crime, change)
