Principal Software Developer in Test (Python SDET) - Contract or Permanent

Saffron QA is the recruitment partner to a highly successful technical testing consultancy who have an enviable track record of delivering high quality testing services to a range of sectors.

We are looking for a Senior SDET to join a key client project to build a new Devops/SRE platform over the next 3 years. The platform is akin to Spotify backstage and is built on Python and React. We are looking for someone with experience of test automation and performance across different clients and applications, the ability to work in complex and challenging environments, and strong stakeholder management skills.

Required skills include:

• Deep understanding of build engineering practice and automating complex building pipelines
• Proven experience in developing test automation
• Exposure to web, API, and mobile test automation tools and engineering approaches including CI/CD
• Hands-on technical design/development experience in tools using a variety of different coding languages, especially Python or React

The role is primarily remote with occasional onsite days in London from time to time (project dependent).

We are currently looking to hire someone on either a permanent (salary £80-90,000 plus benefits) or contract (£500-600/day outside IR35) basis.
