SRG partner with a thriving biotech company, specialised in the development of Lyophilised Molecular Biology/PCR based reagents for the Life Science industry. They are recognised experts in the customised design, development and validation of reagents, with a specialism in the provision of ambient stored products.

Following substantial investment, they are investing in a new custom built laboratory facility in the Oxford area. As Lead Project Engineer, you will be integral in executing their expansion plan.

Operational Planning
  • Develop/review specifications for equipment, instrumentation, software, components, and systems supporting development and production ops
  • Review of engineering and vendor specifications and submittals
  • Manage production equipment vendors through design, installation, start-ups, scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting failures
  • Responsible for the scale up design of process and systems supporting development and production operations
  • Recommend process and equipment design improvements to gain efficiency and minimize downtime through in-service data analysis and documentation

RA/QA/QC Support
  • Commissioning and Start-Up of Building Services (infrastructure) and Qualified Systems
  • Develop and Maintain Qualification Drawings/Documents
  • Personnel, Material, Product Flow Diagrams
  • Area Classifications
  • Implement Change Control Processes for both infrastructure and product plant
  • Coordinate with vendors on expediting, installation, and start-up activities. Development and review of internal and external procedures for IQ/OQ/PQ as part of facility and product master validation plans.
  • Develop schedules for revalidation of infrastructure and manufacturing plant.
  • Experience of developing facilities and plant for regulatory compliance.
  • Facilities Operations & Maintenance
  • Responsible for preventative maintenance and development of controls and monitoring systems supporting production and facilities operations.
  • Develop Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for control and management of assets.
  • Develop contract preventative maintenance programs.
  • Perform training related to new equipment and systems

Your experience working within a progressive life science organisation will allow for you to excel in this highly autonomous environment. Experience working within regulated markets, developing facilities and plant to regulatory compliance is favoured. Strong project management and people management skills.
