Job title: Radio Planner

Location: Various locations (please note, there are office across England from Hull down to South London so please feel free to apply wherever your location and we can discuss your closest office)

Contract length: 3-4 months (likelihood of extension)

Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently seeking a Radio Planner on behalf of a well established telecommunications organisation on a hybrid working basis.

The main purpose of this role will be to be responsible for delivering the network improvement plan in your area. Either by designing upgrades to existing sites, or where required, identifying new sites. The role holder will be responsible for ensuring all radio plans are created in accordance with the relevant demand requirements and guidelines, ensuring that a fair and equitable balance is achieved. All plans should achieve a sensible and pragmatic commercial balance between investment and improved coverage. The role holder is responsible and accountable for the quality of all sites in their area and for managing the balance between time, cost and quality. They will be expected to liaise with Delivery Managers and Performance teams, as well as external Acquisition, Design and Construction partners on a daily basis. There will be a requirement to attend sites to support MSVs (Multi Skill Visits). Some of the main duties will include but are not limited to:

  • In depth knowledge of Radio principles & extensive experience in GSM, UMTS, LTE and 5G technologies
  • Thorough understanding of EMF (Icnirp)
  • Proven ability and experience of Cellular Radio Planning
  • Use of radio planning tools such as Atoll
  • Proficient in the use of geo-data tools such as Mapinfo
  • Use of operations support and change control tools such as Remedy
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated with strong personal motivation and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate and inspire teams to over achieve
  • Strong Delivery Focus, pragmatic and able to make common sense decisions
  • Commercial awareness and ability to make pragmatic decisions
  • Good team skills and ability to react quickly to new demands
  • Valid UK/EU Driving license
  • High PC literacy and proficient with Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint
