Chief Financial Officer - Mandarin Speaker

THE COMPANY:

Our client is a global diversified banking organisation with a solid presence in Asia-Pacific Region, emerging into the UK and European market with strong growth plans.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure the Branch's finances, integrity, and accuracy of its financial and management reporting systems (internal and external):
• Develop financial planning and management objectives in line with the Branch's business strategy and objectives.
• Develop and track comprehensive financial data through budgets, cost authorisation and tracking.
• Prepare and distribute reports to board, senior management and key stakeholders.
• Maintain auditable records for all financial information in the Branch and cooperate with risk and compliance functions to prepare the business for external audits.
• Prepare, maintain, and submit for annual approval the ICAAP, ILAA and the Pillar 3 disclosures
• Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
• Ensure that the Branch establish and maintain appropriate tax accounting arrangements
• Reviewing and Implementing tax policy and strategy
• Monitoring key UK tax risks throughout the year
• Update and amend internal policies and procedures on credit proposals review and approval
• Coordinate CMD and front offices with those issues related to credit proposals approving

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA with at least 10 years PQE experience including operating at CFO level in banking
• Mandarin language is ESSENTIAL
• Well versed in UK accounting standards
• Experience of ICAAP, ILAA, Pillar 3 disclosures
• Proven ability to build successful teams
