Python Engineer - Leading Commodity Trading Firm

The role requires a technically strong and disciplined Quant developer to design and develop trading applications and software components within a rapidly growing company. Whilst experience is valuable, we are looking for someone who is inquisitive, keen to work in a challenging team and enjoys problem solving. The role will be working primarily within the Beacon platform, an object-oriented database, with a powerful dependency graph and a fully integrated stack across pricing, risk and trading tools. The code is a combination of Python and C++.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Numerate degree or equivalent (Computer Science, Engineering, Finance and Mathematics)
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Advanced Python skills
• Excellent communication and team building skills
• A proactive and solution orientated approach
• A capable, enthusiastic individual who is a self-starter, able to work under pressure and comfortable with taking initiative
• Highly organised with a strong attention to detail
