Our client, a leading telecoms infrastructure provider, operating across Europe is looking to recruit Legal Counsel to join their busy, dynamic legal team in London.


Reporting to a Director in the Legal Team, you will be providing in-house legal support to all areas of the business and its operations.

The primary responsibilities of the role include:
  • reviewing, drafting and negotiating:
  • customer agreements for networking services;
  • supplier agreements for network services, hardware and software;
  • property and right-of-way agreements; and
  • a range of other legal agreements as required;
  • providing commercial and contractual advice to the business;
  • providing support and advice on general disputes;
  • providing company secretarial and corporate support.

The additional responsibilities of the role will include:
  • corporate regulatory and telecoms compliance activities in the UK and other European jurisdictions;
  • managing external counsel regarding real estate matters;
  • support of merger and acquisition and other corporate activities;
  • ad-hoc project support for the General Counsel.

The key requirements of the role:
  • Our client is looking to appoint a lawyer qualified in England and Wales or another common law jurisdiction with between one and two years' post qualification experience at a leading law firm. You will have excellent academic credentials, strong contract law knowledge and strong drafting skills and experience. You will have strong interpersonal skills, be business and commercially minded and have the ability to advise and drive commercial solutions.
  • You will need to be highly motivated, pragmatic, a self-starter and have the ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Its important you have the ability to work independently with high levels of personal responsibility, managing large volumes of work, including a variety of commercial and corporate matters and have the ability to work with colleagues at all levels of seniority from teams across the entire business.
  • If you were to have additional European languages (French or Dutch in particular) this would be advantageous but not essential.
