Business Strategy Analyst Role:

Reporting directly to the Director of Strategy and Consulting, you will be part of the AL Define the Business department that leads technology innovation and is accountable for shaping and enabling our organisation to sell and deliver our Service Offerings to our clients.

The team works to a continuum of 'think it, shape it, design it, sell it, deliver it" where a consultant will follow an offering throughout its lifecycle.

As a Senior Analyst in our Define the Business team, you will live and breathe market information. You will be the key person within the team to deliver data and information about our clients (and target clients) and their needs, allowing us to create and deliver new offerings to solve their problems.

Business Strategy Analyst Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct industry analysis and present findings in the form of quarterly reports, as directed by the Director of Strategy and Consulting
  • Inform the Service Offering roadmap and advise the Director of Strategy and Consulting of changes required to maintain market relevance in target industries and sectors
  • Author Service Offering related content and go-to-market material
  • Inform and participate in the development and evolution of AL Service Offerings by aligning them to industry and client problems and linking them to clear business outcomes and associated metrics
  • Participate in the shaping, structuring and preparation of Discovery engagements
  • Plan, prepare and deliver Sales and Delivery enablement sessions, as directed by the Director of Strategy and Consulting

Business Strategy Analyst Skills & Experience Required


  • Demonstrable experience in Business / Industry / Market Analysis
  • Industry expertise in at least one of the following sectors: FSI, Public Sector, Professional Services, Defence with strong business acumen of common business areas
  • Have strong verbal and written skills, comfortable presenting and storytelling in front of small teams as well as larger audiences (e.g. conferences, events, etc.)
  • Presenting in a clear and engaging way that leverages a combination of data and visually compelling material
  • Proven experience of successful development of roadmaps, quantifiable business cases, in both agile and agile environments
  • Outcomes-focused, comfortable working under deadlines

  • Business Strategy Analysis and Business modelling
  • Enterprise Architecture
  • Publishing/authoring and Public speaking
  • Understanding of the functional basics of DevOps and Cloud (operating model, processes, culture, technology)
  • Experience in designing and implementing organisation design and Operating Model transformations
  • Experience in shaping and informing service offering development, iteration and optimisation
