Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Salary: £30,824 (plus 10% shift allowance)

Location: Rotherham (S66 8HR) / National

Contract: Permanent


Week 1: Monday - Friday 06:00am to 14:00pm

Week 2: Monday - Wednesday 06:00am to 13:00pm / Saturday 06:00am to 17:00pm / Sunday 06:00am to 14:00pm

Week 3: Monday - Friday 12:00pm to 20:00pm

Week 4: Monday - Friday 06:00am to 14:00pm

  • All aspects of PSV maintenance, inspection, fault diagnostics and repairs at either our customers sites or a Switch service centre
  • To liaise with customer, Switch call centre and parts staff to report defects, order required spares, to enable job completion in a timely fashion.
  • Complete legible and accurate job write ups and reports, obtaining authorisation and signature from suitably authorised depot staff once work is completed and prior to leaving site.
  • To scan fully completed job cards to service centre for processing
  • To always observe health and safety, being aware of surroundings and local engineering requirements.
  • Assist customer when required, with servicing / repairs to improve their product knowledge.

  • EV or Hybrid competence, including HV trained in relation to High voltage DC electrical systems is desirable but not essential.
  • Full driving licence + PSV licence.
  • Minimum City & Guilds level 3 vehicle maintenance or equivalent.
  • Excellent electrical and computer based diagnostic skills.
  • Able to work on own initiative and unsupervised.
