The Opportunity

Finatal are retained on a search for a Group Financial Controller to join the UK's fastest growing and private equity backed Healthcare Groups. Currently turning over c.£250m, the business is scaling rapidly following a secondary private equity investment, accelerating its buy and build strategy, set to continue across Europe. This hire has been made at a critical time during the business' growth journey and expansion.

As a result of the businesses high growth, they are looking to create a Group structure. For the foreseeable future this role will be UK based, but in the longer term based in Luxembourg.

This role will be the catalyst to set up the Group structure, and you will have autonomy to hire within the team. Key responsibilities will include the implementation of an accounting system for consolidations to align international entities, target acquisitions and subsequent integration activity, and implementation and improvement of new processes and controls.

This role will include travel to Europe so will also suit those who are Benelux based!

The Role

  • Taking full ownership of running day to day finance, including responsibility for all controls and processes at Group level.
  • Further develop a strong and stable finance team, making improvements and ensuring the function is operating to the highest possible standard.
  • Key role in M&A, and integration activity across Europe.
  • Implement a new system for consolidations.
  • You will have full ownership of the Group's audit process.


The Requirements

  • ACA/ ACCA Qualified.
  • Experience of working in manufacturing/ retail/ healthcare.
  • Multi-site experience.
  • Ability to speak French/ Dutch is advantageous
  • Previously worked in an international business of scale, with a track record of developing and improving systems and processes.
  • Experience in M&A / integrations.
  • Ambitious, dedicated and hardworking, with a strong track record of progression and success. Candidates will be analytical thinkers with excellent commercial acumen and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to operate, and excel, within a fast paced, challenging and changing environment.
