The role involves a high level of business partnering across the business. This is an excellent role for a candidate who has strong commercial acumen, finance skills and experience working in a busy, fast paced and wide-ranging role.


You will play a key role in the Group's internal and external financial reporting activities to ensure the highest possible standard at all times. This is an exciting opportunity for a accounting and reporting manager to join the team reporting into the Finance Control Director. This role requires a questioning mindset and strong technical skills.

Key responsibilities will include:

Accountabilities - Assist the Finance Control Director with:
  • Reporting to the Board on the results of the Bank, including any KPI's and metrics
  • Preparing financial accounts in line with International GAAP, regulatory frameworks and group policies
  • Preparing monthly management accounts within agreed timeframes and before regulatory deadlines
  • Controlling and reconciling operational cash balances and flows
  • Ensuring the Finance control environment is fit for purpose
  • Ensuring timely payment of accounts payable and timely receipt of accounts receivable balances
  • Manage various external relationships - auditors, tax specialists, professional services firms
  • Prepare regulatory returns within the remit of the finance control function


The ability to analyse, appraise and improve all systems and processes within a financial control environment
  • Confident in dealing with senior colleagues in the organisation
  • Proven ability to deliver to deadlines with excellent communication skills written and verbal
  • Strong technical skills including robust accounts production skills gained through experience in financial control
  • Deep accounting expertise gained through six or more years of working in the area including Chartered accounting qualification
  • Experience within a UK regulated institution and knowledge of FCA/PRA reporting would be a plus
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA would be welcomed
