The Purchase Ledger - German Speaker role is an exciting role as it is quite a complex ledger with international payments and international VAT that requires checking and reconciling. You will be working within a busy finance function.

Client Details

The client is one of the largest employers in South Wales and is well known for promoting within. They are based close to the A48 and A470, they also have free parking on site. The site is also easily accessible from Cardiff, Pontypridd & Caerphilly by bus with public transport passing the client site every 10 minutes.

The client has multiple finance functions on site and you would working within the Purchase Ledger team, each team usually consists of up to 12 team members.

Currently most teams are working from home 3-4 days a week


As a Purchase Ledger - German Speaker you would be:
  • Input invoices onto the UK AP Ledger matching with Purchase Orders created by the Business
  • Input non PO Invoices
  • Ensure that all invoices are paid within agreed Payment Terms
  • Review and process UK expenses in line with company Policy
  • Monitor ledger to ensure no aged open items or debit balances are on the ledgers
  • Reviewing Vendor Statements
  • Clearing down ledger accounts within FSS
  • Reviewing Bank Reconciliations
  • Review and posting of Bank Journals and posting of other journals


The successful candidate for the Purchase Ledger - German Speaker will:
  • Have worked on the Purchase Ledger previously or be studying their AAT or have completed their finance / Accounting Degree
  • Ideally have worked with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP

Job Offer

The ideal candidate will be offered:
  • £19,000-£28,000 per annum
  • Plus Holiday and Pension
  • Be Based in Cardiff
