We are recruiting for a Global Application Delivery (GAD) Apprentice to join the Global Vision team. We are looking for passionate individuals with a desire to develop, learn a new skill and start an exciting career in the field of Technology.

You will be provided with training and development at Fiserv but also with our training provider QA who will teach you the skills and knowledge you need to be successful in this role. You will learn how to work in an agile environment and learning software development using programming languages such as Java, Angular, .NET, HTMLC and CSS along with application support.

Key accountabilities:

One week you could be undertaking new product delivery and building new application features and functions, the next week you could be analysing and fixing client raised issues. As part of Fiserv no two days are the same and you will have the opportunity to get involved in lots of interesting problem-solving projects.

About Global Application Delivery (GAD)

Global Application Delivery (GAD) is a global organisation +consisting of groups located in the UK and India. The groups are responsible for the full systems development life cycle as well as production support of the Fiserv Issuer Platform, known as First Vision, which provides card processing services to clients in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) market.

The First Vision platform consists of the world-renowned transaction card processing platform VisionPLUS. This is complemented by a number of Surround applications providing a variety of internal and external client facing applications, together with customer communication materials and consumables.

Entry requirements:

The entry requirements for this programme are as follows:

7 GCSE's total:
  • English GCSE grade D or above
  • Other 6 GCSEs, including Maths, to be C or above

You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship in a similar subject.

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

If you are successful in this role, Fiserv will carry out background checks which includes a DBS and credit card history check and pass the required background checks.

Future Prospects and Benefits:

This is an entry level role into the field of Technology, and you will be studying a Level 3 Software Development Technician Apprenticeship.

To start you on the right career path all education and training is funded, and we will reward you with a salary of £20,000 per annum.

Following completion of the programme and subject to performance, your next role would be at a higher grade in the region of £28,000.

Career progression will be ongoing following the end of the program subject to set milestones with corresponding salary opportunities.

QA's apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education.

To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
