My client, a leading Manufacturing business based in Hyde is looking for a Management Accountant to join their team. Established over 60 years ago, the business is going through a period of growth. Manufacturing sector experience is not necessary!

Reporting into a qualified Financial Controller, you will gain exposure to Senior level accounts and the several responsibilities including:
  • Posting daily cash receipts / payments
  • Submitting Daily ABL bank reports,
  • Outstanding Orders Report issued daily to management team with updated comments from production/transport/sales.
  • Creating weekly supplier electronic payments (BACs / Faster Payments / CHAPS), confirming daily cash drawdowns required from HQ with treasury department to ensure sufficient funds available.
  • Weekly bank reconciliation (GBP, EUR).
  • Submission of Cashflow Forecast to HQ - 3 Months Rolling (1st Month and Mid-Month).
  • Reconciliation of Aged Debtors and Aged Creditors reports to General Ledger.
  • Maintain fixed asset register - Additions/Disposals and posting depreciation journals.
  • Preparing and posting monthly management accounting journals.
  • Preparing and maintaining prepayments schedule and posting monthly journal.
  • Completion of all monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Responsible for the monthly management accounts to Trial Balance.
  • Preparing the monthly management information pack including variance analysis commentary.
  • Inter Company Balance reconciliations.
  • Preparing Order Intake and Order Bank reports at month end.
  • Monthly Top Ten Aged Debtors report and month end Borrowing Base report for ABL lender.
  • Quarterly VAT Submission - Alpha VAT.
  • National Statistic Reports.
  • Primary contact for quarterly ABL audits.
  • Assist with annual yearend audit tasks.
  • Line Manager for Purchase Ledger Clerk and Sales Ledger Clerk, responsible for overseeing the daily running of the finance department, holiday approval, absence management and ensuring both ledgers are maintained and kept up to date.

The role will be office based during the initial training period; the client will then offer hybrid working. Benefits also include 25 days holiday, pension and study support should you require any including a day off for each exam.
