The BusinessNigel Wright's Procurement and Supply Chain Team are working with a successful Service Provider to recruit a Buyer. The role will support a blend of office/home-based working.The RoleReporting into the Category Procurement Manager within a hybrid working environment you will be responsible for:• Working alongside internal stakeholders both within the department and the business as a whole to understand the needs of the business and to develop and deliver strategies • Communicate with suppliers and other external stakeholders to ensure the most appropriate deal is agreed for the business• Work and negotiating on tenders to ultimately win contracts• Produce regular reports to management including progress reports and identifying potential savings opportunities • Assist in preparing forecast reports on future market trends in commodities, and key business factors to allow for improved business performance against budgetThe IndividualThe successful candidate will have/be:• Relevant transferable procurement experience• Strong commercial understanding • Systems savvy individual• Confident communicator who is able to influence and negotiate at all levels• Highly motivated with a 'can do' attitude• Resilient and able to meet strict deadlines• Willingness to adapt and develop skill-sets and knowledge as required• Studying or working towards CIPSFor more information on this role please do not hesitate to get in touch
