I want to hire someone.

I'm not entirely sure what the job is though (sounds attractive, no?).

Here's why it might be worth reaching out to me anyway:
  • We're dead nice. Honest. We want our team to enjoy what they do. There's no micro-management. No big hierarchy. No office politics.
  • Everyone in the team is very capable and they all support each other.
  • People have flexibility to work from the office or home (they did pre-COVID too).
  • People can choose the hours that they work, within reason.
  • We regularly review salaries.
  • No-one has ever left us.

Here's what we want to achieve:

  • Attracting new partners (successful, experienced recruiters in whom we invest to start a recruitment business together)

Longer Term:
  • Attracting Recruiters, Candidates & Clients to our partner businesses

Here's what I think the job might be:
  • Creating Social Media Content.
  • Making those posts look pretty - we already have some design capability in-house, but if you're a bit handy with design tools and good at creating scroll-stoppers, all to the good.
  • SEO - the content bit. Both for our site, and partners' sites. Again, we already have the technical stuff.
  • Creating and monitoring / analysing paid advertising. LinkedIn Job Slots / campaigns. Other Social Media. Job Boards. Google.
  • Maybe some direct approaches on LinkedIn - or some automation of approaches / follow up.
  • Email marketing.
  • Other stuff that we haven't considered.

I might be wrong though. We aren't marketing experts. I want someone to come and tell me what they think will work well - and then try it. Analyse it. Do more of the stuff that works well and stop the stuff that doesn't. Work with us to create the strategy and then take ownership of it. We're happy to invest in tools (or build them - we have a small development team) or paid advertising.

I'm also aware that each of the things in that list could probably be a job on its own. It's all about the right person, so if you're really good at just one of those things, but open to getting involved in a couple of other bits, let's still have a chat.

Here's who I think you might be:
  • You might be a marketing exec or content writer who's ready to take the next step and get more involved with strategy.
  • You might be a Recruiter whose job has evolved to include a lot of marketing (a lot of this is 'candidate' attraction).
  • You might be a marketing exec for a recruitment business.

You'll probably need to be based within a commutable distance of our office in Bolton. There's plenty of flexibility to do the job from wherever you like, but I think there's real value in being together some days.

We're also happy to consider something part-time if you need that for whatever reason.
