RLE International is working on behalf of their Essex based Automotive Client, who are currently looking for a Diagnostic Issue Investigation & Resolution Engineer to support and join their expanding team

Position Description:
£27.03 - via Umbrella
Assist in the analysis and resolution of vehicle diagnostic software and hardware issues raised by Trust engineers and through several new initiatives, customer care+, key fleet support. Issues will predominantly concern the diagnostic software/tools used in dealer to support vehicle repairs (Etis IDS, FDRS, PTS and future software/tools as required Mycanics etc. Support customer care + process and meetings to ensure speedy resolution of customer issues in the field Investigation of the vehicle remotely using Team Viewer or on site at the dealer premises if the repair instruction/ recommendation does not resolve the issue. Working with IT to ensure quality end-user experience of diagnostic process. Ability to carry out validation of IT defect resolution actions to ensure effective fixes are in place. Accurate recording and documentation of issue investigations and root cause descriptions. Ability to co-ordinate quick and effective fixes with the dealers/ technicians within agreed deadlines. Analysis of data using Excel to produce/ contribute to tables and graphs to quickly communicate issue resolution status. Use continuous improvement tools to support optimisation of the vehicle issue resolution process. New role therefore responsibilities may change as scope of role develops. Requires flexible and skilled individual.
Skills Required:
• Proven skills in problem solving in a vehicle diagnostics environment using a logical approach.
• Experience of vehicle diagnostics and complex issue resolution.
• Strong IT skills and experience of working with vehicle software packages.
• Excel, Word, Outlook
• WebEx Teams experienced user.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels.
• A tenacious and self-motivated individual.
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
Experience Required:
IT development experience in a vehicle diagnostic environment.
Experience of Diagnostic systems - Etis IDS, FDRS and PTS.
Experience of Rally or equivalent IT defect management software.
Experience Preferred:
Experience working in a vehicle or dealership environment an advantage.
Education Required:
Maths and English GSCE Grade C (Or equivalent) or above.
Education Preferred:
Completion of an automotive apprenticeship is an advantage
