M&E Designers - Hampshire - c£45k+ package
Established over 30 years and with offices strategically located in the South, this company provides full building services and installations throughout the South East to the building industry.
Due to continued growth they are now looking to recruit M&E Design Engineers to produce design and detailed drawings ensuring projects provide well-engineered cost-effective solutions working closely with all stakeholders to devise technically astute and commercially viable applications for products
Duties and Responsibilities
To ensure that projects provide well-engineered cost-effective solutions for the client
Ensure that your projects comply with relevant specifications and technical requirements
Provide technical support to both customers and colleagues
To work closely with internal and external stakeholders to devise technically astute and commercially viable applications for products
Visit clients or attend sites, as necessary, to expedite projects and to maintain key relationships
Work as part of a multi-disciplined team of engineers responsible for the production design deliverables for
Responsible for assisting in all aspects of design from site surveys of existing assets, feasibility studies, detailed design and tender pricing
Project managing third party designs and providing design assistance to installation and commissioning teams
Liaising with clients and subcontractors
Ensure all operations are carried out in accordance with the company management system, policy objectives and statutory and contractual requirements
Ensure all work is completed to the Client's satisfaction, within budget
Produce project drawing packs
Produce design specifications and interface specifications based on customer requirements
Provide robust conceptual and detail designs to satisfy the customer's requirements
Prepare design support documentation, conducting design calculations and maintaining concise engineering records
Conduct engineering investigations for existing product improvements
Compile engineering memos and technical reports
Attend meeting and workshops
Essential Skills / Qualifications
A degree or HNC/HND in a relevant construction or design field
Knowledge of current CDM and Building Regulations
Competent in MS office
Self-motivated
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Positive/can do attitude
The ability to provide sound and innovative solutions to mechanical problems
Good verbal/communication/influencing skills
Team player
