Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Teaching Assistant - Opportunity for aspiring SEN teachers and Psychologists.
ASAP Start- September start - Wokingham - £70-£80 a day
A school in the Wokingham area are looking for a SEMH Teaching Assistant to start ASAP to support the class teacher in providing outstanding education to students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs in addition to learning difficulties. Some of these children will face more complex needs and the ideal candidate will need to be resilient and nurturing to support these children and staff at the school. This role would be suited to someone who is an aspiring SEN teacher or for someone looking for a career in Psychology. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

The role will include behaviour management for students with more complex needs and support with their well-being. The SEMH Teaching Assistant will be required to work 1:1 with students as well as whole class group supporting with accessing the National Curriculum.
This would be an ideal role for someone who is looking to teach students with SEN or follow a career in Psychology to start ASAP. A degree in Education or Psychology is desirable.
