The Job

The clients are looking for a experienced embedded software engineer. You will be working with a passionate team to manufacture market leading products. You will work on full product life cycles working on audio and video devices.

Main Duties

Design, Develop, Test and Debug Embedded Software for Consumer Electronics Devices
Contribute during every stage of Product Development from Requirements Gathering to Design to Prototyping to Production Engineering to Technical Support
Debug, maintain and optimise existing product designs
Participate in peer reviews
Troubleshoot internal & external customer issues
Design code from schematics and data sheets
Develop and execute test plans for engineering and productionSkills and Experience

Minimum BEng in Electronics/software Engineering
Experience programming microcontrollers
Excellent C/C++ programming skills
Understanding of electronics hardware
Experience in leading a team and mentoring would be an advantage
Strong knowledge and experience developing device drivers for the following: TCP/IP, FAT File system, USB, SDRAM, I2C,SPI,I2S, HDBT, HDMI
Ability to determine work priorities and ensure deliverables are completed to specification, within budget and on time
Experience of progressing a design from concept to manufacture
Strong documentation and written and oral communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and self-organise
Experience in Agile MethodologyDesirable Software and tools experience
