Overview
2Fawcett are recruiting for a finance assistant, to join a company located in Nottingham on a permanent basis.
We are excited to be recruiting for a finance assistant for a vibrant employer.
Reporting directly into the group financial controller you will be supporting in a decision-making and contribute to the sound financial management of the Company.
The Key objective for this role is to ensure that the general ledger is maintained in a timely and accurate manner
The Role & Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant
Customer payments
Purchase ledgerAssist With Payments
Set up customer payments, ensuring appropriate supporting back-up, approval and internal processes are adhered toPurchase Ledger
Code Purchase Ledger invoices and input to CODA
Obtain authorisations for payment & prepare weekly payment run
Process BACS payments
Take calls chasing payment
Reconcile supplier statements to ledger and obtain missing documentation
Process expense claims, ensuring adherence to rules & accuracy of codingPurchasing
Check stationery stock, collate stationery orders & order stationery
Order Beverages
Order cleaning supplies
Deal with suppliers
Process orders into ComtrexSales Ledger
Raise sales invoices and post onto CODACredit Control Administration
Telephone chasing & maintenance of call logs / notes in CODA
Send copy invoices
Send statements and reminder lettersRequirements of the Finance Assistant
AAT Qualified and/or actively studying towards CIMA / ACCA or equivalent qualification, QBE experience considered
High level of numeracy and IT literate
Ideally knowledge of the software CODA or similar accounting softwareWhat will you get in return
