Job Title: Process Engineer
Location: Greater Manchester
Salary: £50k - £60k
Shift Pattern: Mon-Fri
The Company
The pharmaceutical/Chemicals company I'm working with are looking for a process engineer who has big life aspirations and career goals. You need to have a Chemical/engineering background and want to become more CI focused, working on improving efficiency throughout the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Working closely with process chemicals and control engineers to ensure the production plant is set up to provide maximum output and efficient running of the production facility
* Designing plant and equipment configuration
* Instituting scale-up and scale down processes
* Assessing options for plant expansion or reconfiguration by developing and testing
* process simulation models
* Designing, installing, and commissioning new production machinery, including monitoring development and troubleshooting
* Optimising production by analysing processes and compiling de-bottleneck studies
* Apply new technologies
* Organise and chair hazard studies
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Chemical or Mechanical engineering degree
* 5+ years chemical experience
* Exp with manufacturing techniques - Six Sigma, Lean
* Technically proficient in all areas of process safety and loss prevention e.g. HAZOP, PHA etc
