Up to £14.02ph - 15.50ph after probation period

Up to £3ph production bonus

Excellent opportunity for someone with experience in welding, fabrication and / or sheet metal to work for a well-established local employer. The role offers the opportunity for a confident welder to learn or further expand their knowledge of sheet metal fabrication from highly skilled, time served engineers .

As the Welder & Sheet Metal Worker you will be responsible for;

Manufacturing all types of fabrications & metalwork.
Working on interesting one off and short batch projects for a subcontract engineering company.
Reading, interpreting and working to engineering drawings with minimal supervision
Assembling and welding fabrications
Working with stainless and mild steel
TIG and MIG welding
Operation of fabrication equipment as required.
Basic mechanical assembly

As the Welder & Sheet Metal Worker you will be:

A confident Welder with a genuine interest or previous experience in sheet metal
Ideally familiar with working in a range of materials and thickness's to produce complex fabrications
Able to demonstrate a sound understanding of MIG / TIG welding
Have the ability to communicate effectively and complete all assigned tasks to strict standards and specifications
Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
Ideally hold a relevant welding / fabrication apprenticeship / qualifications
Have previous experience in producing high quality bespoke fabrications
be able to read and interpret drawings

7.00 am - 4.00pm Mon - Thursday
7.00am - 12.00 lunch time Fri
£3 p/hr bonus on hrs saved.
Hols: 25 days + bank holidays, 5 held back for Christmas
