Primary SEN TA

Protocol Education are working with a school in the Wakefield area (WF10) to appoint a primary Teaching Assistant with experience working with Special Educational Needs. This infant school is at the heart of the local community and looking for a positive, upbeat addition to their team. The one and a half form entry school are looking for a member of staff to join their team to support a boy with SEN and behavioural needs. If you have a passion for supporting children overcome barriers, then this could be your next challenge.

What are the main duties of this role?

To be responsible for providing bespoke support for individuals who have been identified as SEND
Working under the direction of the class teacher, SENCo and provide support in addressing the needs of pupils to overcome barriers to leaning
To develop and promote effective working relationships with families, members of staff and external agencies
Comply with policies and procedures relating to child protections
Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people within the school.
What do you need to apply?

To be eligible to work in the UK
To be able to provide 2 references from previous employment
To hold or be willing to apply for an enhance DBS through Protocol Education
Experience working with children with SEN
