Group Senior Internal Auditor
Location: Darlington, Peterlee, Bath, Bristol, Cardiff or Huddersfield, with hybrid working
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 base salary with performance related bonus and a company car/ car allowance

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Auditor to join our Group Internal Audit Team as a Senior Internal Auditor. Our Internal Audit function assists the Group in accomplishing its objectives by applying a risk-based, systematic, and disciplined approach, to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the governance, risk management and internal control systems. As a key member of our growing team, your primary objective will be to help the Board and Executive Management to protect the assets, reputation, and sustainability of Redde Northgate Group.
Your key responsibilities will include
Delivering the Group Internal Audit programme
Identifying and monitoring control improvements and follow up IA actions
Generating ideas for audits and contribute to the development of the Internal Audit programme
Ensuring audits are delivered on time, to budget and to high quality, in compliance with international auditing standards and internal methodology
Agreeing on relevant and pragmatic actions to drive improvement of the control environment
Developing relationships within the business to improve awareness of business developments and reinforce the need for strong internal control and risk management across the Group
Provide expert risk and control advice as required

You have a professional accountancy qualification, ACA or ACCA, with a numerate and analytical mindset
Qualification in CIA, CMIIA, CISA, ISACA, IRM or a similar risk management qualification would be desirable
You have strong communication and presentation skills and have experience in a customer focussed organisation
You're experienced in conducting audits across multi-function business organisations
You hold a full UK driving licence and can travel within the UK and Ireland
Excellent administration and time management skills
Having experience in the below would be desirable
Experience working within a relevant business (Vehicle hire, vehicle repair, accident management, Legal, claims handling or insurance)
Auditing within a regulated industry
Use of data analytic tools and techniques
Understanding of risk management
