Continued growth sees a leading developer of organic semiconductor materials now requiring an additional Process Technician to join their facility in County Durham.

Working in the Cleanroom you will be supporting the Process Engineers in the delivery of reproducible fabrication processes for O-TFT test device and demonstrator vehicles using semiconductor and display fabrication tools in a cleanroom environment.

Working with the team you will develop and maintain appropriate process control methodologies, understanding variability within the processes and reducing the variability to provide stable fabrication techniques.

You will also be working closely with other Technicians and Engineers to support new process introduction in a collaborative but IP sensitive environment.

Supporting the Materials and Test Engineering Teams you will process substrates to allow the parametric and reliability testing of the devices.

Other duties will include carrying out quality NCR investigations; developing and carrying out process checks for the Engineering team; and inputting data in to the SPC charts for the in-line metrology and measurement requirements.

Qualifications:

You should be qualified to at least HND / HNC level, or higher, in a Physics, Science, Electronics or a related subject, and have significant experience in commercial cleanrooms.

Experience:

Previous experience working in a commercial clean room is essential, as is experience working with semiconductor or display technology and chemical handling.

You should have experience in process development and semiconductor device characterisation and have worked at a higher level than an operator in process fabrication.

To succeed as Process Technician, you should have gained experience in a manufacturing environment. Candidates who have worked in academic cleanrooms, in collaboration with industrial partners may be considered.
