The Role: MDU Operations Delivery Manager (FTTP)
Location: Work from Home / Warrington
Package: £50,000 / £55,000 & bonus, vehicle, pension, healthcare.
This is a new role within a well-funded business that is building state of the art full fibre networks in the UK. They are the owner of the network, so client side and have significant investment from one of the leading global infrastructure funds.
It's going to be an all round role but the crux of it is that you would own the end to end implementation of service to MDU's including wayleave/design/build/implementation & community engagement so a lot of potential scope.
New position so would play a part in building a team and would also 3rd party manage the relationship with their wayleaves provider, who are probably the most well known in that sector.
On that basis, we think the role suits someone from a FTTP operations / project / delivery background who also has a grasp on how wayleaves work, and from a high level, what the end to end process might look like by way of building and delivering services, mainly to MDU's.
Some creative thinking on the remit, this is not definitive but adds a flavour as to what we are aiming for - but you would have a lot of say in the actual "How" this would be done, as the company have the financial firepower and autonomy to be creative:
- MDU wayleave and build programme
o Project management of the end to process of MDU wayleave/design/build/community engagement
o Community engagement and benefit schemes to support wayleave acquisition and future sales
- Building a team that has the autonomy and is empowered to deliver results for the business
- Integration with the design and build teams so that we maximise all opportunities across our build footprint
- Understanding the dynamics of the costs within wayleave and how demand led strategies could be used to justify higher spends for higher take up rates
- Regulatory compliance and having a voice within the industry
We've got the flexibility on that basis to consider a range of backgrounds from fibre networks, assuming the blend of project, operations, build, wayleave and then commercial savvy to understand the numbers and cost implication.
Role has the potential to become a HOD in the future and you would be surrounded by some known names who have recently come on board into the business as they continue to grow.
Flexible working environment so happy to talk with MDU savvy operational professionals across the UK but the ideal would be someone based in the North due to the need to be in the HQ maybe one day per week (Cheshire)
