We are seeking for a Software Engineering Manager, someone who deeply gets the DevOps eco-system and all that encompasses. A forward-thinking problem-solver for the development and rapid delivery of next-generation platform solutions and prototypes, and who seeks and uses the right tool for the job. Someone who will drive the technical decisions of an engineering squad and will push and develop the more junior members of the team. On a day-to-day basis you will be:
Taking full ownership of change related to one or more key products
Delivering change to time, budget and quality, along with reporting to senior management at several levels
Maintaining and supporting the infrastructure for the platform, working closely with Appian CoE, while also sharing with the rest of the community of BPM good practices learnt or applied which could be reusable and enrich the rest of the teams
Discussing functional and technical solutions with different stakeholders in the business, UX designers, architecture, and engineering managers to ensure US are refined and understood at the correct level
Deciding with the rest of the team the best technical solution for the challenges ahead, ensuring best practices are applied to maximise quality of delivery
Keeping the solutions delivered running healthy in production minimising incidents, maximising quality of service
Developing/leading a team of people who directly report into you
What you'll bring.
You have designed and implemented fast and efficient heterogeneous solutions featuring horizontally scalable technologies using open-source technologies
Experienced in Appian deliveries and using agile methodologies
It would also be nice for you to have.
Broad experience of agile software development practices (Unit testing, Test driven development or CI/CD)
Experience building applications in cloud environments
Experience or knowledge of Verint Operations Manager (Work Manager)
What else you need to know.
If you share our passion for technology and are up for the challenge, come join us and deliver! We are looking for great technologists to join our team. We're the digital software lab at Santander, and we want to turn this bank into a tech powerhouse.
