Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for an SEN Primary Teacher to join a friendly, specialist school in Slough. The role will require the successful applicant to teach and be responsible for the planning, organisation and delivery of a Primary Curriculum in Key Stages 1 and 2.

This is a Special school which supports children aged 4-11, with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH). They aim to empower pupils with self-confidence, developing their ability to respect others and themselves and to help pupils learn to manage their emotional and behaviour difficulties in a range of settings and situations. The school follows the National Curriculum, differentiated for individual pupils where necessary.

Role of an SEN Teacher:

Responsible for a class of 4-6 pupils.
Working with pupils with challenging behaviour, complex needs and SEMH.
Responsible for key support staff.
Managing pupil behaviour consistently and fairly in line with the school's behaviour policy.
The ideal candidate will:

Have lots of patience, be proactive and resilient!
Have QTS and preferably some experience working within a SEND/SEMH school.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work co-operatively and collaboratively with a range of staff (including LSA's, colleagues and multi-agency professionals).
A strong ability to develop relationships and rapport with both pupils and parents.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
