LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT
We are currently looking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist school based in Windsor. This is a challenging and rewarding role where you will aid the delivery of creative learning that motivates pupils and supports them to achieve.
This is a therapeutic school that specialises in meeting the needs of neuro diverse young people. Pupils may have needs such as, developmental language delay, higher-functioning autism and language/communication difficulties which put their emotional and mental health at risk.
Previous special school experience is not necessary for this role. If you have a passion for making a real difference to the lives of children and young people with special needs, then this could be a great role for you. The school is happy to consider part-time candidates.
Responsibilities will include:
Supporting teachers to deliver highly personalised inclusive lessons.
Willingness to develop a good understanding of the school's curriculum.
Working closely with other professionals and families.
Supporting the creation of a climate for success for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities to learn and develop.
A resilient and instinctive approach in meeting pupils' needs.
Requirements for the role:
GCSE (C or above) Maths and English.
Ability to work flexibly, throughout the whole school, meeting the needs of pupils in a range of contexts.
Have a passion for working with children in education.
Have the right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
