TEACHING ASSISTANT

We are working with a specialist school in Oxfordshire to recruit a number of Teaching Assistants to join the school's dedicated team of support staff. If you are a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is looking for a new role within education, then this could be the perfect role for you.

This school caters for young people aged 9-18, many of whom will have a variety of special educational needs. This may include Autism; ADHD; Social, Emotional and Mental health and Speech, Language and Communication needs.

The role will involve working across a variety of year groups, supporting both on a 1:1 basis and working within small groups. The school tailors the National Curriculum to suit each individual. Class sizes are small and there will usually be a teacher and other Teaching Assistants in the classroom, however, you will be expected to use your own initiative and work proactively.

Person Specification:

Passionate about working with young people and making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
Be resilient and meet challenges with an open mind.
Ability to be proactive and use own initiative.
Excellent communication skills within ability to communicate with teachers, teaching assistants and parents.
Experience working with SEN is desirable, but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
