Behaviour Support Mentor / Learning Support Assistant - Derby - September 2022

A primary school in the central Derby (DE23) area are looking to secure a dedicated and enthusiastic Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team and work on a 1:1 basis. This is a full-time position, and you will be required to deliver 1:1 intervention support to assist a student with Autism that has tendencies to get easily distracted along with behavioural challenges.

The school want to employ a candidate with a proven track record of improving engagement with lessons and activities. You must be able to create a positive and purposeful learning environment and form good relationships with children, parents/carers and staff.

To qualify for this, you will need to have:

A passion for working with young people in education
The ability to build and maintain relationships with children
Initiative and creativity to help maximise learning
Previous School/Health/Youth care experience
An enhanced DBS on the update service
You must be fully registered with us in order to be put forward for this position. This is due to start after summer in September 2022. The right person may be taken on a permanent contract for the full academic year 2022/23. Pease get in touch as soon as possible with your CV.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
