£50,000 - £60,000 + Company Car+ Pension + Excellent Benefits.

This well-established UK wide building consultancy work predominantly in the construction industry providing a variety of design and engineering services to the commercial, healthcare, residential and education sectors. With number of high- profile clients across the UK they are in a period of growth and expansion with the aim to become a fully comprehensive consultancy covering all building services. They are now looking to develop their building services department and are seeking an individual with experience of working on medium- size projects as well as a desire to join an enthusiastic and committed team of engineers to deliver high quality output on projects.
In this role you will be based in their Birmingham office but will be given the opportunity to work from home one day a week. Your responsibilities will include producing design deliverables (drawings, specifications and reports), site surveys, construction stage duties and project management. You will also be expected to contribute to the preparation of enquiry plans, tender review, fee estimate sheets and change controls as required. You will also be checking calculations and producing detailed drawings to ensure quality and compliance controls are met. In order to deliver efficient and safe solutions you will be in close collaboration with multi-disciplinary members of the design team

An ideal candidate will have relevant Building Services background and demonstrate experience of delivering projects in at least one of the sectors the client operates in, while also having essential technical experience which includes designing mechanical building services systems like HVAC and Public health. They will also have experience of contributing to bids, tender specifications and proposals.

Mechanical Building Services Engineer- Building services

Checking calculations and producing detailed drawings
Preparing tender reviews, fee estimate sheets and enquiry plans
Develop and nurture relationships with clients

The Person:

Suitable building services experience
Designing mechanical building services systems experience
Confident communication and presentation skills
Delivering projects in at least one of clients operating sectors (commercial, healthcare, residential and education)
Professional registration (CEng/IEng) preferred
