Search have an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineering Technician to secure a great role within a distiller based in a modern facility in West Lothian.
Reporting to the engineering manager the Electrical Engineering Technician will play a key role in maintaining valuable assets to ensure smooth efficient manufacturing process.
The role will be on a split shift rota of Early and Back Shifts 6am - 2:15pm / 2:00pm - 10:15pm n a rolling 9 day fortnight.
Duties will include:
Provide electrical maintenance support in line with schedules
React to breakdowns and carry out preventative and scheduled maintenance
Installation and commissioning of new equipment
Maintain accurate service records, monitor and report on running conditions
Coordinate with management to ensure part availability and specification
To be considered the ideal candidate will have experience gained within a distillery / manufacturing environment and demonstrate the following:
Relevant electrical engineering qualification / accreditation (Min HNC)
Have completed recognised 4 year apprenticeship
Strong technical knowledge of a wide range of plant - pumps, compressors, boilers, WWTP, control equipment and sensors.
Min 5 years working experience in a technician role within a COMAH or High Risk Facility
Further desirable knowledge & experience:
* Spirit Distilling
* IEC61508/61511 working knowledge
* PAT testing
* COMPEX training
Generous remuneration and benefits are on offer:
* 38K per annum with a 16.5% shift allowance
* 35 days annual leave P/A
* Including in company pension scheme
* 9 day fortnight working pattern
