Do you strive to achieve holistic educational development and support pupils who are struggling in the classroom environment?

We are working with a mainstream primary school based in Middlesbrough who prioritise well-being and aims to ensure their pupils are empowered though the progressively planned teaching of knowledge and skills, to prepare pupils for their futures. They school are on the lookout for a long-term support teacher to work in the school to provide tailored sessions as a part of the National Tuition Programme. The role involves working with students who may be struggling or who need extra curriculum catch up to achieve targets and bridge the gap predominately due to the impact of the pandemic and loss of learning.

As a Support Teacher the school are looking for someone ideally available full time that can be adaptable to different teaching approaches in small groups and 1:1, applicants that are available part time 3 days per week or 5 mornings/afternoons are also welcomed. The role is to start from September 2022 and for the right candidate will potentially lead onto a permanent contract, early applicants with immediate availability is advised due to the current demand of support.

As a Support Assistant you will possess:

QTS or Equivalent Teaching qualification
Teaching experience preferably in a primary school or similar environment
Awareness and good understanding of National Curriculum
Dedication to become part of the school team community
Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new check
