Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Aberdeen, is currently looking to recruit a Marketing Manager for an initial 12 month contract on a rate of £162/day (inside of IR35).

Responsibilities:

-Work as part of the wider Marketing, Content and Press teams to increase brand awareness through planning, co-ordinating & delivering marketing activities, including events, to engage with Scottish consumers and businesses.

-Identify opportunities to engage with stakeholders and partners to increase the reach of communications and marketing messages

-Support the Marketing Executive with the development of publications, making sure these are accessible and brand compliant.

-Manage relevant procurement contracts and budgets.

-Write clear briefs for marketing and events agencies, making sure expectations, deliverables, timelines and budgets are realistic.

-Understand external stakeholder expectations of the organisation at events and delivers a high quality offering tailored to that event.

-Develop marketing communications materials (including reminder items for events) that are clear, engaging, eye-catching and in line with the organisation's brand guidelines.

-Measure the success of marketing activities using pre-agreed criteria/ KPIs to benchmark against and inform/ shape future planning.

-Develop and deliver briefing and training for any events staff/ ambassadors where necessary.

-Expected, on occasion, to undertake work on weekday evenings or weekends, depending on the specific event requirements.

-May be required to participate in the on-call press office duty along with other colleagues. An allowance it payable if you are on-call.

Essential Skills:

-Events Management or relevant Marketing/Communications qualification OR proven skills and significant, demonstrable experience in an in-house or agency role

-Ability to turn complex messages into easily understood ones for a diverse range of audiences.

-Ability to work at pace, often to tight deadlines.

-Experienced in the delivery of marketing campaigns or events involving multiple stakeholders (internal and external)
