Salary: we have stated a range of £45,000 - £65,000 but from discussions regarding salary, we know that salaries outside of this range will be readily considered if it's in line with experience.

Experience: You will ideally have a minimum of 2 years' Post Qualified audit experience in an accountancy practice with a variety of clients.

Hours & Holidays
Hours: 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, however the employer is happy to be flexible around this. Office-based, but there is an option for partial working from home if it suits the business.
Holidays: 20 days, plus bank holidays and 1 day holiday for birthdays. An extra day is accrued for each year worked, up to a max of 25.
The Audit Manager Requirements
2+ years Post Qualified
ACA / ACCA qualified
Ideally have the Responsible Individual (RI) status
Have a minimum of 2 years' audit experience in an accountancy practice with a variety of clients.
Be up to date on their technical knowledge of Auditing and Financial Reporting Standards.
Strong IT skills are essential in this role, with candidates ideally being competent in all Microsoft packages as well as accounts production, audit and corporation tax software, (Iris, My Work Papers, Sage Line 50) and preferably some experience of cloud-based accounting software.
Be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and to tailor communication appropriately.
Have experience with managing a client portfolio of Owner Managed Businesses, Small-Medium Enterprises, and large independent firms.
Have experience in developing client relationships and understanding client service standards.
Be flexible to work additional hours in order to meet deadlines or unforeseen problems.
Be respectful and professional, speaking positively of others.
Have excellent attention to detail and a strong commercial awareness. The Audit Manager Duties
Supporting our teams to deliver a high-quality service to a range of clients on a timely basis, the key responsibilities of the role will include:
To plan the assignment in accordance with the firms standard procedures and confirm arrangements with the client, including likely costs and billing arrangements.
To ensure jobs are completed to the highest standard, within the agreed internal budget and to discuss all material points arising with the assignment partner and client immediately, particularly in relation to anticipated overruns.
To brief staff on the clients business and the pre-assignment instructions, to supervise and control the completion of work, and to undertake on the job training and performance reviews as and when required.
To liaise with the client throughout the year and to practise the principles of excellent client service at all times.
To ensure that appropriate liaison takes place with all other departments, and that all potential client needs are identified and serviced accordingly.
To develop a detailed knowledge of the firms specialist services, identify opportunities where clients may benefit from being introduced to other specialists in the firm, and to undertake special work in response to client needs where appropriate.
To perform the firms review and completion procedures, to attend the final meeting with the client, and to ensure that the client subsequently receives the final accounts and commercial audit findings report on a timely basis.
To closely monitor reports from the practice management system, to ensure the profitable recoverability of work in progress, and to bill clients on a timely basis.
To maintain an advanced level of technical knowledge through appropriate reading and courses, and to fulfil CPE requirements.
To research and prepare proposals for new work, and to take part in formal presentations to prospective clients.
To take an active involvement in prospective client seminars, and to effectively follow up contact made.
To act as an effective line manager for a group of audit supervisors and assistants.
