The Person:

Ideally have experience in a similar role
Excellent communicational skills
Excellent organisational skills and able to priorities jobs

The Role:

Work with the Registered Manager and estates manager to develop a planned maintenance programme and maintain appropriate records.
Assist with site requests for maintenance promptly and efficiently particularly in situations where patients might be at risk, in discussion with the management
Request expert services in those areas where qualified expertise and knowledge is required.
Assisting with the movement, handling and storage of materials and equipment and maintain records where necessary. This may include the collection of materials from suppliers using a company vehicle.
Carry out Legionella testing, Fire testing as required
Maintain H & S procedures in a Maintenance environment.
Ensure that work areas and storage facilities are kept safe, tidy, clean and locked at all times.
Ensure that all equipment is maintained, tested and operated in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Participate in any training activity as required to ensure the smooth and safe running of the Unit.
Undertake all maintenance works as agreed with the Registered Manager.
Participate in reactive overtime if an emergency situation arises.This is not an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities. The post holder may be required to undertake other duties following appropriate discussion with their line manager.
