The Role

Once in role the main focus of the position will be to lead the commercial business partnering function across one of the organisations key revenue streams. Once in role the candidate will provide solutions that increase profitability, performance and partner with some of the most senior stakeholders from across the group.

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Partner with the executive team to provide commercial insight and recommendations
  • Work alongside key stakeholders to deliver / set the finance strategy, identify key business drivers / trends and improve the performance
  • Take ownership for all elements of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting and the delivery of improved financial controls
  • Analyse large volumes of key financial data with a view of delivering commercial insights, key performance drivers and physical trading packs to the executive team
  • Assist with the production of complex financial models to deliver key market and performance insight
  • Deliver / present detailed management information and commercial recommendations to the executive team to drive increased profitability
  • Simplify and present complex data to a range of finance / non finance stakeholders across the logistics function to enable informed strategic decisions to be made
  • Deliver improved and simplified KPI's across the commercial finance division

The CandidateCandidates wishing to apply for this role will be a proven finance business partner ideally with exposure of working in a larger organisation. The candidate will have superb communication skills and will be highly confident when liaising and presenting to the executive team within a large, multi layered organisation. The candidate will have extensive experience of developing and delivering business cases, financial modelling, planning and analysis. This is critical as a large part of the role is focussed on delivering commercial recommendations to a range of stakeholders from across the group. Finally, the candidate will feel comfortable to challenge and implement change across the division and deliver increased performance across the team.
