Currently this primary requires a a handful of qualified early years practitioners to support across Nursery and the pre school classes. Ideally you will have a solid understanding of early years, experience with children ages 0-5, with some/basic learning needs experience or understanding. This early years provision is inclusive and will have a range of learning needs and styles. As an early years educator you will need to the type of individual who can be animated, fun, enthusiastic, show initiative and respond to a fast paced environment. Hours will differ and are based on the head count and ratio of staff to children, the Nursery/ Pre school is open from 8:30-5:30, a rota will be provided with hours within this bracket, Monday - Friday.
A typical day in this school will include mud kitchens, out door play, coloured shaving foam, singing and plenty of gluing and sticking!
Roles at this school vary, they are currently in need of two support staff on a full time and part time basis.
Preparation of resources and activities for whole class and 1:1 support.
Collaborate with classroom teacher to organise appropriate activities.
Liaise with other professionals such as Teacher's, TA, specialist support staff.
Work closely with other LSAs and support staff.
Work with classes, small groups and with children on a one to one basis.
Monitor and track the development of the pupil In question and support personal development and confidence.
Experience of working with early years.
Be comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviours.
Ability to engage with, and build rapport with young people.
Be creative, proactive and flexible in their supporting style.
Have experience with SEN or knowledge learning difficulties.
