Commercial Finance Manager

Our client, a highly acquisitive private equity backed organisation that's demonstrated impressive growth in recent years, leveraging a loyal and ever-expanding customer base, is looking to source a credible Commercial Finance Manager.

This position has incredible exposure, reporting directly to the Group FD and working closely with Senior stakeholders across M&A and Strategic Teams. You'll be working on various special projects including M&A, business valuations and supporting planning, budgeting and forecasting through evolved modelling techniques.

Main duties include:
* Developing robust financial models to be used as part of investment appraisals, business valuation and forecasting for the Group
* Supporting the decision making process through the use of investment appraisal metrics, making informed comparison between opportunities
* Keeping informed of the reporting and trading data
* Working with other Finance teams to understand and interrogate third party financial data, e.g. potentially M&A opportunities
* Highlighting risks and opportunities
* Turning outputs into high quality narrative for the business, such as business cases and proposals

Key skills & experience required:
* Professional accounting qualification, ideally gained in a professional services environment (big 4, consulting etc)
* Strong financial modelling skills
* Proven ability to translate data and insights into clear and concise proposals for business leaders
* Excellent communicator, can build professional relationships with ease
* Credible and charismatic character
* Proactive and positive approach to problem solving
