Thank you for your interest in our Head of Fundraising position at The Fire Fighters Charity.

This is an exciting and dynamic time to join our organisation, coming at a transformative, seminal moment in the 80-year history of the Charity. We traditionally maintain strong income and support directly from our beneficiaries in the Fire and Rescue Services and now we're substantially increasing our presence and resources to impact significant growth in regional fundraising and individual giving.

The Head of Fundraising will be responsible for taking strategic leadership of the engagement of these audiences through a 'digital first' approach to supporter acquisition, individual giving, community, regional and events programmes, supported by improved data insight and analysis.

Already successful with regional fundraising teams and individual giving income streams, you will have significant management experience and data skills, along with demonstrable success identifying opportunities, new digital fundraising trends and growing sustainable engaging donor journeys.

Our Fundraising and Individual Giving team is geographically widespread - we support the UK Fire and Rescue Services by raising the £10m funds each year needed to operate the Charity's services which meet the physical, mental, and social wellbeing needs of our fire services community. We are unique in that we are the one and only charity that supports the Fire and Rescue Service community; the skilled UK workforce that is our services team are experts and specialists; this is our USP!

Trust, respect, and pride in our emergency services has never been higher post- pandemic; subsequently, the growth, interest, and awareness of our work for the Fire and Rescue Service offers a key window of opportunity to maximise income, by articulating a strong, powerful narrative, a relevant, authentic case for support to donors, individuals, beneficiaries, and organisations who are proud to donate to The Fire Fighters Charity.
